Nice work!

I thought I would share this find with the rest of the guild. I think the film does an excellent job of capturing the spirit of this game.

Sharpen your axes, dust off your hammers!  It’s almost time for WAR!  Mark Jacobs announced the release date of September 18th as the official day the servers go live!  Harbingers of Light has at least 14 members who’ve pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition.  As soon as a server list is announced, we’ll be announcing which server we’ll be playing on.  WAAAAAGH!

Today is the big day! Harandel (Craig) and Luina (Amy) are getting married today at 5 PM! In case you were unaware, the two of them met in Harbingers of Light! Last night’s dessert following the rehearsal dinner included the groom’s cake which featured our classic Dark Age of Camelot guild emblem. Ibacai (Josh), Blavira (Elizabeth), and I will be in attendance! Check back soon for photos. Well, it’s time to catch the ferry over to the island for the day’s events.

Welcome home!

A substantial number of guild members have recently migrated back to Dark Age of Camelot, and are currently playing on the Percival Server. Some of these players are old veterans, while many are seeing the realms of Camelot for the very first time. It was a move that was done out of nostalgia, as well as eagerness for Mythic’s upcoming game, Warhammer Online. We are currently focusing on assisting these players in achieving level 50. However, we are also starting to participate in RvR in greater numbers. We even managed to take a few towers and help in some realm defense last week. So, if you are currently missing something in your game experience or wish to try an old classic, download the free 14-day DAoC trial and join us in Hibernia!

Deichtine has been recently promoted to the Light Council and will be continuing on in WoW, so there is no fear of our light diminishing in that realm for the near future. He has been an invaluable asset to the Harbingers of Light over the years and I want to congratulate him on his promotion.

Take care, see you all in battle!

Inspired by the developers of Warhammer Online and desperate to earn a spot in closed beta, at a recent cookout, guild members created their own “Meat Man” inspired by the Podcast #6, complete with Warhammer Online cake!

Yumm!

Hello folks! It’s time once again to host a guild meeting! This is a very important meeting and all members are strongly encouraged to attend. We’ll be promoting several Initiates to full Harbinger status, promoting several folks to Veteran status and we will have a party celebrating Harandel and Luina’s real-life wedding!!! Be sure to find some non-fighting gear to wear to this event (tuxedo, twill, lunar festival attire). Here are the details:

What: Big guild meeting.

When: Thursday, June 12th, 9PM EST (6PM Server Time)

Where: The usual spot, upstairs in the building on the hill in Lakeshire.

Wear: Wear non-combat gear. Tuxedos, suits, Lunar Festival attire is recommended.

What to bring: Food, drink, and a gift for Harandel and Luina (be original!)

See you all there!

HoL Supports Pallies

Last weekend, Harbingers of Light in southeastern North Carolina raided a local movie theater and pub on rumors of a Horde stronghold. No evidence of Orc or Tauren activity could be found, however, they did catch a good movie, Prince Caspian, and then raided a nearby restaurant for some grub! The photo above demonstrates Harbingers of Light’s ongoing support of the Paladin class and our keen awareness of the need for community (notice the “W-O-W” gang symbols being flashed in the back). For more images of the event, click the Flickr stream on the right.

Guild members living in and around the Wilmington, NC area will be gathering at the Mayfaire Town Center movie theater on Saturday, May 17th for the 7:00PM showing of The Chronicles of Narnia:  Prince Caspian!  It may be a good idea to buy your tickets in advance!  Hope to see you there!
