Guild Philosophy
The values that carried HoL through decades of games, servers, raids, frontiers, and voice channels.
Friendship over loot. People over pixels.
The old Guild Philosophy page said it well: the true value of online gaming is not only the game itself, but the social bonds that form while playing. Gear fades. Level caps move. Servers close. The friendships, stories, and ridiculous late-night memories are what last.
Real life comes first
Family, health, career, and real obligations always outrank the game. We do not measure worth by attendance.
Respect everyone
Drama burns communities down. Deal honestly, assume good intent, and treat guildmates and strangers with basic dignity.
Give much, take little
Invest in your guildmates. Share the drop, help the new player, start the event, and leave the party stronger than you found it.
Mind your tongue
Many of us have families nearby, and many of us have been gaming together for years. Keep the guild hall welcoming.
Enjoy the story
Roleplay, character identity, faction pride, world lore, and shared imagination have always been part of the HoL flavor.
Beware expectations
No one owes you their time. When someone helps, they are giving part of their life. Be grateful, and pass it forward.
